On CHP officers responded to a fatal traffic collision on the 10 freeway near the Cloverfield on-ramp. According to CHP, a woman was driving eastbound at approximately 60 miles per hour when an unidentified homeless woman walked onto the freeway from the on-ramp. The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Santa Monica Firefighters. Witnesses called CHP and the driver was cooperating with officers. The name of the victim was unavailable at press time while pending notification of her family.
