The Santa Monica Police department arrested Larry Black for rape. According to SMPD, officers responded to the area of Lincoln and Wilshire for reports of a woman in distress. Officers found a woman inside a shed located in a nearby alley and subsequently arrested the suspect. The Los Angeles County District Attorney declined to file charges against the suspect and he was released. SMPD said the investigation is still active, and they are seeking the public’s help with evidence, including witnesses or video, that would help the case.
