On February 18 at approximately 9:25 p.m.
Officers responded to the Bubba Gump restaurant on the Santa Monica Pier regarding an individual refusing to pay for their meal. Officers learned that two subjects entered the restaurant and ate a meal. When finished with the meal, the two ran out of the restaurant; however, one was stopped by staff. The staff called the police when they learned the individual did not have any means of paying for the meal. The staff requested a private person’s arrest of the subject. Nicholas S. Porta, 22, from Los Angeles was arrested for defrauding an Innkeeper as two warrants. Porta was held on the warrants.
