On August 13 at approximately 2 p.m.
SMPD officers were advised by dispatch that an individual entered Footlocker located near the 300 block of Arizona Avenue and walked out without paying for over $140 worth of merchandise. The suspect identified as Triston Carr, 41 years old, was located nearby and arrested for shoplifting, providing false identification to a police officer and a parole violation. At the time of writing, Carr remains in custody with a pending court appearance on 8/28/2023.
