On October 13, at approximately 1 a.m.
SMPD officers responded to the 1100 block of Broadway regarding a “burglary that had just occurred.” Comments of the call stated the victim saw a suspect exiting her apartment with her belongings. The victim stated she left her apartment to briefly retrieve an item from her car and upon returning saw the suspect was walking out of her unlocked apartment with multiple purses, shoes and jewelry. Upon arrival, officers discovered the suspect was being detained by the victim’s significant other. After a brief investigation, Alicia Cruz was booked for 459 P.C- Burglary and is being held on $100,000 bail.
