SMPD Officers responded to a radio call regarding Fraud that had taken place at the Wyndham Hotel. The Officers spoke with a hotel representative who stated that Deantoine Wade had booked three rooms with a fraudulent credit card. The hotel’s Human Resources Manager had contacted the bank and was told that the card owner lived in a different state and that the card had been fraudulently used beginning September 21. The hotel representative advised that Wade was on the premises and directed officers to his location. Deantoine Charles Wade was booked on a 530.5(a) PC- Identity Theft and was released with a citation, per COVID-19 guidelines.
