# Death investigation on the Santa Monica beach

The Santa Monica Police Department has responded to a possible suicide on the Santa Monica Beach. Officers received a call at about 7:24 a.m. on June 2 reporting a body near Tower 8, north of the Incline. Officers said a witness reported seeing the victim shoot themselves in the head. The investigation into the circumstances around the death is ongoing.
