The Santa Monica Police Department responded to a pair of unrelated deaths on Tuesday afternoon. In the first call, a woman in her 70s died of natural causes in her apartment on 6th Street. A few minutes later, a homeless man, age 69, died on the 1600 block of 5th Street. Neither call was initially connected to coronavirus and the county coroner’s office is conducting further investigation into the second death.
