# Designing a bike-friendly garage

While the renovation of a Downtown parking garage is certain to include a full-service bicycle station, how it will look is another question.

KPFF Consulting Engineers, which is designing the upgrades for Parking Structure 2 on Second Street, is currently developing the look for a new bike station. The council will be asked to pay the firm an extra $20,000 to draft several different concept designs.

“The development of multiple bicycle station options and a feasibility study to determine amenities and operational plan-ning of bicycle facilities was not included in KPFF’s original scope of work,” the report stated.
