On Monday, December 7 at 7:57 p.m.
SMPD and SMFD responded to an Arson call on the 2400 block of Main St. The suspect had lit grass and other items on fire and walked away. The grass fire was out by the time the call came in, however SMFD units followed the suspect and observed him light a small fire behind a car. The suspect was advised to put the fire out, which he complied with. Nicalo Michael Ciaccio was ultimately issued a citation with a signed promise to appear at LAX Superior Court. The citation was for violation 4.55.100(a) SM MC - Making, kindling, or using a fire, except upon masonry or concrete hearth, bbq grill or fire circle provided by the City for such purpose.
