People tired of the world of lies can ponder the soundness of their personal reality at a digital art exhibit.

Scott Ferry’s “Witch World” exhibit at Santa Monica High School explores the questions of reality in relation to the world around us. Using a mix of traditional techniques and computerized equipment, Ferry creates a sensual, dark and mysterious world which centers on the wicca goddess and the female spiritual forms.

Ferry uses photography and digital drawing to create his personal vision of a sur-real space where magic, fear and joy intertwine. Witches, mandalas, fairies, and eerie architectures and landscapes characterize the exhibit.

Ferry was born in La Mirada, Calif., but has been living and working in Montreal, Canada from 1994 to 2002\. He was resident artist at TechnOboro, Montreal in 1997, where he learned the digital technologies he employs for his work.

The exhibit will run between Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 at Santa Monica High School and is being presented by Roberts Art Gallery. Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or by appointment. For more information, call Tania Fisher at (310) 395-3204.
