This year’s installment of the popular Brand X Santa Monica Drive-In will feature free movies every Friday during June.

The free series on the Santa Monica Pier parking deck kicks off June 3 with the season four premiere of Animal Planet’s reality series “Whale Wars.” The screening will be accompanied by a question and answer period with cast members. There will also be free “Whale Wars” beach towels for the first 1,500 in attendance.

Schedule:

• June 10, a special celebration of the Island of Oahu featuring a screening of the Adam Sandler comedy “50 First Dates.” There will be a performance by Grammy-winner Daniel Ho before the screening. The film begins at 8:30 p.m.

• June 17, a screening of the thriller “Jurassic Park.”

• June 24, the animated kids film “Surf’s Up” will close the free movie series.

All events begin at 7:30 p.m.
