On March 11 at approximately 11:55 p.m.
Officers patrolling in the Beat 2 area near the 2400 block of Lincoln Blvd. spotted a young female riding her bike on the sidewalk in violation of the City’s municipal code. After being pulled over, the suspect provided a name and birth date, but no identification card. A check was conducted simply using the information provided and it was discovered the young lady had an outstanding warrant for $20,000 for Health & Safety (drug) violations. A search of the suspect yielded additional drug paraphernalia, a digital scale, credit cards belonging to multiple individuals and a large sum of cash in various denominations. The suspect, identified as Samantha Maldondo, 32 years old, was booked and held at the Santa Monica Jail.
