Pedestrian killed in early morning crash on Lincoln
The driver remained on the scene of the accident and is cooperating with investigators. There were no signs of impairment.

A woman was killed on the 2900 block of Lincoln Blvd. in the early hours of Saturday morning after being hit by a car.

According to the Santa Monica Police Department, officers were called to the area near Ashland and Lincoln at about 1:50 a.m.

Investigators said a vehicle was heading southbound on Lincoln Boulevard in the number one lane when it struck a pedestrian also traveling southbound in the roadway pushing a cart. The pedestrian, a woman in her 50s who appears to be homeless, has not been identified.

The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with investigators. There were no signs of impairment.
