Editor’s note

March marks the start of some changes to our columnist schedule. Established columns are moving to twice a month instead of weekly. You’ll see Laughing Matters and What’s The Point? this week, then Curious City next week. Columns will alternate weeks from here on out. We’re making the change to allow columnists more time to research their work and to encourage more diversity in topics by relieving the pressure of writing every week. We’re also going to add several new columns to the paper in the coming weeks including regular features focused on local business, Millennial life in Santa Monica and hopefully the arts.
