(Re: “A letter on a letter,” Dec. 12) I have been reading the wonderful community paper — the SMDP — for several years now. I have read at least 75 “Letters to the Editor” by Ron Lowe and not one of the letters has been in response to anything written in this fine paper. Example: The Bush Administration is having firemen spy on us.

I don’t mind an occasional side point here and there, but when every letter he writes is a subject not covered in the paper... it makes it feel less like an organic public forum and more like one man’s agenda.

If Ron Lowe has that many nuggets of new information, then he should get his own column. If not, then stick to responding to the many diverse articles already in this exceptional paper.

Let’s go over this again. I read something in the SMDP and I responded to what I read in the SMDP. That is all I’m asking.
