The Emily Shane Foundation will serve as a partnering charity for Malibu Moves, a community running event featuring multiple races at Zuma Beach on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 25-26, 2025.

The event offers races for all fitness levels, including a half-marathon, 10K, 5K, 1K kids run and 1-mile Zuma Dash. The first $35,000 raised will support youth programs, including the foundation's Successful Educational Achievement Program.

The SEA Program provides one-on-one academic tutoring and mentorship to underserved middle schoolers at risk of academic failure. Since 2012, the foundation has served close to 1,200 students across 13 sites in Los Angeles and Ventura counties.

The weekend event includes races and a festival with a beer garden, music and local vendors. VIP packages offer services including Drip IV, B12 shots, gourmet catering from locally sourced ingredients and compression booths. All runners receive Malibu Moves merchandise, medals, race shirts and tote bags.

Participants who sign up with the Emily Shane Foundation join "Team ESF" and receive a 20% discount. The foundation seeks volunteers for various shift times during the event.

An online silent auction will run from Monday, Oct. 20, through Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, at 12 p.m. PST, featuring theater tickets, restaurant gift certificates, family experiences and wine tastings.

The foundation noted that due to impact from the Palisades fire on funding, community support is needed now more than ever.
