# Enough with the negativity

So there were 200,000 people (by your count) at Glow last weekend, but you only got negative letters about it? I’d like to hear what percentage of pro or con mail you got about the event.

My girlfriend and I arrived early by bicycle and totally enjoyed: • The feel of that water spray color thing, seen previously in Turkey by possibly the same artist. • The children in that tent with the balloon roof, sitting on black pillows around a sacred light-something. • Watching continuous throngs of human beings trudging across the sands like refugees. (Bob Dylan once said: “Who aint a refugee?") Meanwhile, back on land, “Bikes Ruled!” -— which was wonderful as well: to feel like we lived all night in a utopian NewFutureville pedaling amongst one another by the timeless sea so civilized-like... and we weren’t even on xtc or however you spell it.

To paraphrase Lily Tomlin: “Art = soup. Audience = art.”
