First Lady Dr. Jill Biden is hosting a luncheon at the Marion Davies Guest House as part of the Summit of the Americas.
Local officials say the event is for the spouses of visiting dignitaries. Attendees began arriving at around 10:40 a.m. and were each greeted by the First Lady. By around 11:45 a.m. all guests had arrived and headed inside the beach house for the event.
The Summit of the Americas brings together leaders from North, South, and Central America, and the Caribbean and takes places approximately once every three years. This year is the ninth summit and is taking place in Los Angeles, which is home to the largest Hispanic/Latino population in the US.
