On October 24 at approximately 9:50 a.m.
An officer was dispatched to 1411 Lincoln (CVS) for a theft report. Upon arrival, the officer met with a store manager and was told the suspect was observed placing unpaid items into a plastic bag. The manager contacted the suspect and recognized the suspect from prior shoplifting incidents. The suspect refused to return the merchandise and exited the store with the unpaid items in his bag. The suspect was located and the stolen items which amounted to $666.12 were returned undamaged to the store and the suspect was arrested. Cedric Vandeweghe, 32, from Riverside, was arrested for shoplifting.
