Santa Monica High School is getting into the holiday spirit this week. The Samohi music department will present a winter concert at Barnum Hall on the high school campus Tuesday at 7 p.m.

The holiday show will feature performances by the string, concert, chamber and symphony orchestras. Under the direction of conductor Joni Swenson, award-winning young musicians will play a selection of classical works including “Fantasia on a Theme,” “Dvorak Symphony 8” and “Scheherazade.” A festive percussion ensemble will perform during intermission.

Pre-ordered tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children, students and senior citizens, and may be reserved by calling (310) 395-3204 ext. 407\. Tickets also may be purchased for $7 at the door on the night of the performance.
