Festival: To a soundtrack spun by KCRW DJ Novena Carmel, Santa Monica community members gathered to celebrate Black History Month at the annual Greens Festival on Saturday, Feb. 26. The midday festivities included horse rides, meditation, cooking demonstrations and much more. The event was a collaboration between the City of Santa Monica’s Virginia Avenue Park, the Parent Connection Group, the Pico Branch Library and the Santa Monica Farmers Market.
