Traffic has slowed to a crawl on the Pacific Coast Highway due to temporary lane closures between Santa Monica and Malibu.
Caltrans is conducting roadside work to trim trees along the road and the California Highway Patrol is managing traffic along the path. CHP officers are conducting temporary closures of the road to allow work to continue safely. Officials said the work should be complete by about 2 p.m.
