I’ve been reading your paper off and on over the past several months, usually on my breaks at my job as a service worker. I am continually offended by your anti-poor, pro-business opinions. Or perhaps more precisely, propaganda.

I notice a tendency to villanize the homeless without considering that homelessness and unemployment are inevitable consequences of a society based on competition, greed, hierarchy and dominance.

You’ve seemed supportive of ending public feedings. You’ve advocated limiting homeless people’s access to public parks while still allowing access for rich people. Once you reported on a proposed law to ban homeless people’s bundles because they could be terrorist bombs in disguise. What a ridiculous law, which was obviously really intended to harass the homeless.

How about some articles about how poor service workers can’t afford to live in the communities they work for? About legality of parking permit only zones and how employees are unable to park near their jobs? How about more analysis on how efficient capitalist methods lead to more and more poverty?
