On January 24, at about 8:39 a.m., officers responded to the Walgreens – 1911 Lincoln Blvd – regarding a disturbance at the business. Officers learned a male subject was waiting for a prescription to be filled. While he waited, he walked behind the counter of the pharmacy and grabbed three packs of cigarettes and concealed them in his jacket pocket. An officer confronted the subject about the merchandise. The subject denied taking any cigarettes and stated he had purchased them at another store. The subject did not comply with the officer to return the merchandise and walked out of the store. The subject was taken into custody as he walked out of the store. The store was desirous of prosecution. Peter Bart Wojcieouwski, 26, homeless, was arrested for petty theft and resisting/delaying arrest. Bail was set at $10,000.
