Here’s how a voter-approved $135 million bond from Santa Monica College, which required 55 percent approval, fared in local neighborhoods: Yes No Downtown 62.9% 37.1% Mid-City 61.9% 38.1% North of Montana 54.6% 45.3% Ocean Park 63.3% 36.7% Pico neighborhood 63.4% 36.6% Sunset Park 50.1% 49.9% Wilshire-Montana 63% 37% TOTAL 58% 42% (Source: Percentages were calculated based on an analysis of election returns from the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder. Precincts don’t match up with neighborhood boundaries exactly and four of Santa Monica’s 66 precincts were not tallied. One precinct that overlapped equally into two neighborhoods was counted twice, once for each neighborhood.)
