Santa Monica College will play host to live music and a fireworks show in their “Celebrate America” event one day before Independence Day. The event will feature artists such as Dan Crow (pictured) and the Thunderwear Band and the USC Trojan Marching Band. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the music and fun will start at 6 p.m. on SMC’s Corsair Field at 16th Street and Pico Boulevard. Revelers are allowed to bring picnic baskets and food, minus the alcohol and barbecue grills. For more information, call (310) 434-3000.
