At 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday morning a white male jumped from the 3rd floor of the interior courtyard of Santa Monica Place shopping mall and was pronounced dead on the scene, according to an SMPD officer.
Police arrived on the scene within five minutes and the mall was closed to the public. This incident is being investigated as a suicide and there is no evidence of foul play.
