The popular ramen restaurant “Ippudo Ramen” has shuttered after nearly 2 years of occupying its space on second street, but it’s far from the only commercial property that’s been forced to close during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Residents traveling down Ocean Park boulevard might have noticed a trio of businesses near each other that have all been forced to shut down in recent weeks due to a lack of customers.
A flyer advertising Dan Modern Chinese, a San Gabriel Valley establishment that opened its own first location back in 2018, is currently posted on the window of the former Ippudo Ramen location. The restaurant’s Instagram page states officials expect an opening in September, but it’s not yet known what will replace the other businesses that have experienced misfortune during the pandemic.
