An unidentified dead body was discovered lying in a corner of the United States Postal Service building on 7th Street, between Olympic Blvd and Colorado Ave on Monday afternoon, less than one block away from the Santa Monica Homeless Shelter on Olympic Blvd.
According to a statement from the Santa Monica Police Department, "The decedent is an approximately 50-year-old female who appears to have passed from natural causes. She also appears to be experiencing homelessness. She is still a Jane Doe. The coroner will determine the cause of death, identify her and notify any relations."
