# Letter: Love this town

Until the recent two letters defending the city government, I was beginning to think that I was the only one who absolutely loves living in Santa Monica!

I think our city government is truly responsive to its residents. Roads are well maintained, visual improvements are made, mass transit runs smoothly, and growth is well managed.

The recent spate of anti-growth letters that have taken over the SMDP clearly do not represent the majority of Santa Monicans, who I believe are much like me in that they realize how great our city is anytime I cross over into Los Angeles with its ill maintained streets, poor school system … need I go on?

We live in a great city, well managed by a responsive City Council. To say that our City Council is in the hands of developers just doesn't mesh with the facts.
