I can't believe we are talking about another park ("Scenic park proposed for reservoir," Nov. 21, page 1). No one in Wilmont, which is surrounded by single family residences. Really? Do people not realize we have one of the greatest parks in the world — Santa Monica Beach? We cannot afford to continue increasing our cost base. Why are we not talking about real problems such as crime and homelessness? I would gladly trade in all the parks and other public spaces if we didn't have crime. This is a real, quality of life and personal safety issue. Until we get basic services fixed, I hope some of our residents would stop trying to add to our problems.
