I am elated to hear that city staff is taking a position in favor of preserving Paul Conrad's peace-promoting sculpture in Santa Monica ("City Hall open to paying ‘Chain Reaction' repairs after all," Jan. 1). I fervently hope that our City Council members support the staff position.
