Editor:
I know mistakes are made, but the Santa Monica Police Department made a large one that should be examined and explained to the public with possible consequences to those at fault.
How can the Chief of Police tweet that a suspect was going to harm those at the L.A. gay pride parade in West Hollywood when that was not said? The parade was almost canceled because of this blunder.
We deserve an explanation from the chief as to how this happened.
