Regarding the recent Zepeda and [Garza](http://www.smdp.com/letter-santa-monicans-paying-city-employees/146505) letters about the obscene employee compensation in Santa Monica: What sentient person could disagree?

It's long past time the citizens insisted on a basic premise: that there is fair pay — and there is gluttonous pay. Let's move immediately to the former. For everyone.
