I read your article about the new scooters system and what I found a madness is the amount of accidents I have seen already in Santa Monica streets involving one of those companies. Yesterday, I saw a very scary one where the scooter conductor was laying in Ocean Avenue -one block from the Pier- covered in blood and waiting for an ambulance.
As a Santa Monica resident who has been involved in accidents with drivers of those devices with “we know that they are dangerous but we can not do anything” I believe that the City needs to put in place a very strong enforcement of the rules of transit and use of them.
