# Letter: Too much money

I was amazed by the apathy that exists. All those wages should be cut by two-thirds and they still would be overpaid ("Breakdown of highest-paid employees," Sept. 15, 2013). It does not take into account their health and pension benefits, which I am sure are very lucrative. It also does not mention the number of Santa Monica employees per population. The figure is two or three times more than most small cities. We thought Bell was bad. This whole thing stinks. I am grateful your paper printed this information. Keep up the good work. City, county and state employees are milking us blind.
