# Letter: Reader says city's online utility bill payment site is down for days

Contrary to the hype in this article (“Digital feedback,” Nov. 20), the city’s Web site is one of the slow-est loading on the face of the earth. I have been trying to pay my utility bill online, as mentioned in Kevin (Herrera’s) article, for four days, to no avail. Their site (http://santa-monica.org/billpay/utility\_bill.htm) tells us that it is down for “maintenance.”

In 11 years on the ’net, I have never come across a site that was down this long. City Hall is filled with a bunch of state-of-the-art digital braggarts who have honed their self-promotion skills to the cutting edge!

Digital jeers.
