A Santa Monica woman is asking for help identifying a man who broke into their apartment and temporarily stole a Tesla.
The suspect broke into the home near 7th and Idaho early Thursday and in addition to taking items from several vehicles, he was able to leave the scene in a stolen car. However, the thief abandoned the vehicle and it was eventually recovered by SMPD.
Residents of the building are asking anyone with information about the suspect to contact the local police department at (310) 458-8495.
