On August 24, at approximately 4:35 a.m. officers observed a bicyclist in the 2000 block of Santa Monica Blvd in violation of a municipal code.
Officers detained the subject for the violation and discovered the subject was on felony probation for narcotics violations. During a search of the subject, the subject attempted to discard a clear plastic baggie containing an unknown white substance. The suspect was taken into custody.
Miguel Vicente Montalvo, 39, homeless was arrested for destroying or concealing evidence and riding a bicycle on a sidewalk. Bail was set at $500.
