Greens Up, a salad shop at 912 Montana Ave. was robbed Monday at about 7:45 p.m, police said.
A man police describe as white, between 20 and 40 years old, and 5'8" with a thin build entered the store, walked to the cash register and demanded money. He removed the entire cash drawer from the register and exited the store, said Santa Monica Police Department Lt. Joseph Cortez. A witness observed the man flee southbound in the alley from the store.
The loss is approximately $1,000.
Cortez said the man was last seen wearing a black or gray hoodie, with some type of black covering over the bottom portion of his face.
