Police are continuing their search today for a gunman who killed a man and critically wounded a woman at a street fair in Venice.

The victims were shot about 9:20 p.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of Abbot Kinney Boulevard, as the festival was winding down.

Adam Pacheco, 31, who was standing in front of the Otheroom bar when he was shot, died at a hospital, said LAPD Officer Julianne Sohn.

The woman, who is about 25, was taken to a hospital for a gunshot wound to the face, but has since been released, according to police.

Officer Sam Park said it was not clear if there was a relationship between the two victims, who were shot about a block apart. Witnesses told police a gunman dressed in black “just walked up and started shooting” during the Abbot Kinney Street Festival. police said.

Fox11 reported that Pacheco may have been a street vendor at the festival.

Police are looking for a 17- or 18-year-old male Hispanic about 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a medium build, shoulder-length dark hair and dark clothing.
