Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier will celebrate Valentine's Day with "Love Lights the Pier," a festive celebration running Feb. 1–15.

The iconic amusement park will feature live DJ music, photo opportunities and rides aboard the world-famous Pacific Wheel. The event offers couples, families and friends ways to celebrate along the coast.

Highlights include a Ferris wheel serenade with romantic live DJ performances Saturday, Feb. 14 from 4:30–8 p.m. Heart-themed souvenir photos will be available when riding the Pacific Wheel or in Pacific Park's photo booths from Feb. 1–15.

Guests can pose at a giant, flower-covered heart bench in front of Inkie's Scrambler from Feb. 1–15. The Pacific Wheel will shine with 174,000 LED lights in red, pink and white, featuring animated hearts, romantic messages and love emojis nightly from Feb. 9–15.

"'Love Lights the Pier' is a joyful celebration that brings together romance, fun, and unforgettable experiences for all ages," said Nathan Smithson, senior director of business affairs at Pacific Park. "At the center of it all is one of Southern California's most romantic icons—the nine-story-tall Pacific Wheel—offering sweeping ocean views and an extraordinary way to celebrate all things love during Valentine's."

The Ferris wheel has earned national recognition as one of Los Angeles' most romantic attractions. USA Today names it among the city's "Romantic Places for Couples," Westways magazine calls it one of "Los Angeles' Great Places to Make a Romantic Proposal," and Discover Los Angeles describes it as offering one of LA's most romantic views.

Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier is LA's only admission-free amusement park, offering 12 rides, 14 midway games, five food offerings and retail beach shops.
