Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier launched its Operation Kids’Sake program last month to the delight of 200 kids, their families and various local children’s organizations. Some of the participants in Pacific Park’s holiday program feature the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Monica, The Salvation Army, Santa Monica College on the Move, Pico Partnership, and Project Echo.

Pacific Park provided each organization with certificates to be distributed during the holiday season by project coordinators. Each certificate entitles one family of four to a day of unlimited rides at the park. The certificates are valid through November 2002.

“As the family amusement park on the Santa Monica Pier, our goal is to celebrate children from the surrounding communities,” says Stacy Glazer, director of marketing and sales. “We are pleased to continue our program so all kids have a chance to visit Pacific Park, especially during the holiday season.”

Pacific Park, the West Coast’s premier family amusement park located on the historic Santa Monica Pier, offers 12 amusement park rides, 19 midway games and attractions and an oceanfront food plaza with seven restaurants. Admission to the park is free and parking is available along the pier.
