PALMDALE — The football season has come to an end for Santa Monica (4-7 overall).
Samohi lost to Palmdale 45-26 in the first round of the Western Division California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section Toyota Football Championships on Friday.
Samohi finished the regular season third in the Ocean with a 3-2 league record.
Fellow Ocean League teams, Beverly Hills and Culver City, also lost in the first round.
Palmdale advances to play St. Francis in the second round on Friday.
