A Los Angeles police chase ended at the Santa Monica Pier on Tuesday when a driver and a dog were taken into police custody at about 1 p.m.
The Los Angeles Police Department were in pursuit of an armed suspect accused of assault with a deadly weapon when the driver fled from South Los Angeles to Santa Monica. The suspect stopped his car at the intersection of Colorado and Ocean before surrendering to police.
A small dog was with the driver and was also taken by officers.
