Police have arrested the suspect involved in a multi-hour standoff.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department SWAT team was dispatched to the 800 block of Ocean Park Blvd., near Lincoln Blvd. to assist Major Crimes Bureau personnel with a barricaded suspect. at about 12:30 p.m. Witnesses reported hearing multiple orders for the suspect to leave the house and several posted pictures and video of low flying helicopters.
The area was closed to traffic for several hours and some residents report being evacuated from nearby homes.
At about 4:30 p.m., witnesses reported a surge of police activity that included the use of tear gas inside the home. The suspect was apprehended shortly thereafter.
