PS3 Demolition to continue, again

PS3: The demolition of Parking Structure 3 has once again been cleared to begin, paving the way for the construction of an affordable housing complex. A group of Downtown property owners filed a lawsuit against the City and Coastal Commission attempting to block the demolition in August 2021. The case was dismissed in January because their lawyer missed a filing date and demolition was scheduled to begin on Feb. 14. The plaintiffs then filed an appeal and request to have the demolition stayed. On Wednesday this was denied by the California Court of Appeals. The City will share updates on the demolition schedule when available.
