Santa Monica Public Library will host two free holiday concerts at the Main Library's Martin Luther King Jr. Auditorium, 601 Santa Monica Blvd.
Holiday Concert & Ukulele Strum-Along will be held Saturday, Dec. 6 from 2-3:15 p.m. Cali Rose and the CC Strummers return to the library with an interactive holiday ukulele concert. Attendees can strum along, sing along, or enjoy festive holiday and popular songs. Participants can bring their own ukulele, borrow one from the library while supplies last, or check out a Ukulele RED Kit. For an advance copy of song sheets, email library@santamonica.gov.
Lyric Chorus: Songs of the Season will be held Thursday, Dec. 18 from 11 a.m. to noon. The Lyric Chorus of SMC Emeritus College will perform four-part arrangements of Broadway tunes and songs of the season. The 30-plus member chorus was founded in the 1940s and is under the direction of Tom Gerhold.
