An advertising flyer inserted into this weekend’s Daily Press contained an image that could be construed as anti-Semitic. The insert was paid for by SMAME, an anti development group. We apologize for any distress caused by the flyer. While the paper maintains a commitment to free speech in advertising, we do not endorse paid ads and it is never our intention to allow offensive or hateful content in them. We will change the procedures for inserting third-party flyers to match the vetting used for content printed inside the newspaper.
